Located in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, the Red Lion Inn has a long and storied history that dates back to the late 1700s. It is a landmark within Berkshire County and recognized throughout the country by its depiction in Norman Rockwell paintings. Antiques and treasures can be found throughout the Inn, including china place settings that feature the above crest. Red Lion Inn employee-extraordinaire, Rebecca Weinman, approached us about using this crest for a t-shirt design. Great lengths were taken by both Weinman and Minc House to scan the plate, extract the crest from the 3 dimensional object and turn it into a image that would make a good screen-print. Printed on super soft 100% cotton women’s cut tees, these shirts have been very successful at the Inn’s Gift Shop which features handmade products made in the Berkshires.
